The right fire blanket specification begins with the location and the intended emergency procedure. A larger blanket covers a larger physical area, but size alone does not establish that it is suitable for a particular fire hazard or applicable site standard.
Compare the available dimensions
Kalhar Enterprise offers 1 × 1 m, 1 × 2 m and 2 × 2 m fire blanket sizes, with custom dimensions on enquiry. State the required unfolded size explicitly in the purchase order. Also agree how the blanket is packed, positioned and accessed at the site; a folded product photo does not show its deployed dimensions.
Check the construction and documents
The currently specified construction uses nominal 200 GSM fibreglass cloth with Kevlar stitching. Regular and premium versions are available, but their exact finishing or packaging difference should be confirmed in the quotation. A raw-material cloth test must not be represented as certification of the finished blanket. If a buyer requires a specific standard, request a valid document for the finished product and exact variant before ordering.
Align with the fire safety plan
The site’s risk assessment, applicable requirements and user procedure should determine whether a blanket is appropriate, where it is located and who is trained to use it. Fire blankets are one part of a broader fire safety arrangement. Do not treat a blanket’s fabric information as proof that it can address every fire scenario.
