When a buyer asks for a “reflective windsock,” the quotation should identify exactly where the tape is fitted. Kalhar Enterprise offers three layouts using 1-inch reflective tape, so a short description can prevent confusion between variants.
What the three variants mean
The 1-tape version has one reflective band at the tail or end section. The 3-tape version has reflective tape across the last three cloth joints or bands. The 5-tape version extends that placement across the last five cloth joints or bands. Write the selected number in the purchase specification and check the supplied product photo or approved sample when the visual layout matters.
Select the colour and size separately
Reflective layout is only one choice. State whether the windsock should be red and white or orange and green, and whether the standard 6 ft length, 2 ft mouth and 1 ft tail are suitable. Specify any custom dimensions before production. If a matching stand is needed, include its material, finish, installation location and mounting details on the same enquiry.
Avoid performance assumptions
More reflective bands change the amount and position of reflective material. That alone does not establish a particular visibility distance, illumination level, aviation approval or operating wind range. If the buyer’s site requires a defined visibility or regulatory performance, request the corresponding documents for the exact proposed variant.
Kalhar Enterprise can quote the preferred tape layout, colour combination, size and quantity together, making it easier for dealers to order consistent variants.
