Choosing the correct industrial spill kit is an important part of workplace spill preparedness. The appropriate kit depends on the type of liquid, expected spill volume, work environment and disposal procedure.
A spill kit should not be selected only according to its container size. Before ordering, identify the liquid and check its latest Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Compatibility and final kit configuration should be confirmed for the intended application.
Types of Industrial Spill Kits
Kalhar Enterprise offers four requirement-based spill-kit categories for factories, warehouses, workshops, laboratories, commercial facilities and safety-product resellers.
Oil Spill Kit
An oil spill kit is intended for oil and hydrocarbon spill-response requirements. When requesting a quotation, provide the oil type, expected spill volume, required quantity and delivery destination.
Chemical Spill Kit
Chemical spill kits are configured for chemical-liquid spill-response requirements. Because different chemicals behave differently, buyers should provide the chemical name, concentration and applicable SDS before selecting a kit.
Universal Spill Kit
A universal spill kit is a general-purpose option for suitable workplace liquids. The actual liquid and its compatibility should still be confirmed before ordering or using the kit.
Acid Spill Kit
Acid spill kits are configured according to the particular acid-related requirement. The acid name, concentration and current SDS must be provided for review. Acid-kit configurations use acid neutralizer in place of standard absorbent granular.
Available Capacities and Packing Options
Kalhar Enterprise offers portable mat-bag spill kits and larger plastic-can packing options.
Mat-bag spill-kit capacities:
10 litres
15 litres
20 litres
30 litres
50 litres
Plastic-can spill-kit capacities:
50 litres
75 litres
120 litres
240 litres
300 litres
The stated size describes the kit or container category. It should not automatically be treated as a verified absorbency rating. Request the written product configuration and declared absorbency information before placing an order.
What Can a Spill Kit Contain?
Depending on its type, capacity and approved configuration, an industrial spill kit may contain:
Absorbent pads
Absorbent socks
Absorbent pillows
Absorbent granular or acid neutralizer
Safety goggles
Nitrile gloves
Shoe cover and cap
Face masks
Disposable bags with ties
Instruction sheet
Mat bag or plastic-can packing
The quantity and size of every component can vary between spill-kit capacities. Always review the itemised contents provided with the quotation.
How to Select the Correct Spill Kit
Follow these steps before requesting a quotation:
Identify the spilled liquid.
Record the product or chemical name.
Obtain the latest Safety Data Sheet.
Estimate the possible spill volume.
Choose an accessible packing format.
Confirm the required personal protective equipment.
Check the disposal procedure applicable to your workplace.
Mention the required quantity and delivery destination.
For chemical and acid applications, compatibility must be reviewed against the specific substance and its SDS.
Spill Kits for Resellers and Bulk Buyers
Kalhar Enterprise accepts enquiries from industrial buyers and safety-product resellers. Standard spill-kit orders have a minimum order quantity of one unit, while custom configurations are subject to written confirmation.
Product prices remain private and are provided through a quantity-based quotation. Spill kits attract 18% GST, freight is charged separately, and website orders require 100% advance payment. Dispatch time depends on the ordered quantity, configuration and delivery destination. Written quotations remain valid for seven days unless stated otherwise.
